Privacy Policy 

In May 2018 the GDPR European Union Privacy Law came in to effect. In order to be fully compliant with this I am highlighting how I store and use images and how I store and use information related to those images. 


Personal Data

  • From the moment we start communicating about your photography or film requirements I will have some of your personal information, such as names, addresses, email and phone numbers. This may come via email, contact details on website, other messaging devices, by phone to even face to face.  All of this will be in relation to doing the job you have asked me to do.  

  • I may also of been given your information by someone else  (in the case of vouchers / gift certificates / shoots being organised by another party) this information may of come on your behalf but should always be with your knowledge.  

  • All this information is kept on my personal computers which are password protected. Your information is not shared with third parties and you will not be added to any mailing list without specifically being asked.  The only exception to this will be if it is shared with work colleagues in relation to your project. 

  • You are welcome to contact me at any time with questions about how your personal data is handled.  You can request a copy of any data I have or ask that I delete it.


Images

  • Photos and video taken are processed on my computer only, Once edited they are stored on a password protected drive.

  • No location data is stored with the images.

  • Kate York Photography & Film has a legitimate interest in using images for promotional purposes across website, social media and printed promotional material.  Consent for this forms part of your contract.

  • Images will never be made available to third parties.  If I am approached by a third party wishing to use the image I will message you about it.  Nothing will happen without your consent.

  • We endeavor to keep all photos and film originals stored for 1 year. Edited versions (a copy of what is deliverd to you) are kept for a minimum of 2 years. However there is no guarentee that we will have copies of projects once delivered.

Website

  • The website is built using Squarespace.  They analyse data on what pages are visited and how the site is navigated.  This information is anonymous.  This information is used to help make the experience of using the website better.
